The weekend of the 21st October saw over 80 aspiring Witches and Wizards descend on the Wizarding World of Woodhouse Park. This year’s SSAGO South West Fresher’s Camp hosted by SAGUWE in Bristol. Over the weekend participants got involved in all sorts of activities and challenges to earn their house ‘House Points.’ Friday night saw everyone arrive to pitch their tents (unfortunately they weren’t bigger on the inside!) with movies; a warming pumpkin soup and campfire, giving everyone a chance to get to know each other. Saturday morning was filled with themed activities, with everyone heading off to their chosen ‘classes’ for the afternoon. That evening was filled with a themed quiz, and fantastic wide games for those who still hadn’t been tired out! Sunday saw the houses pitched against each other in a Muggle Quidditch tournament, with Slythern reigning notorious. As the weekend came to a close and the house points were added up, it became obvious that there was to be a clear winner. Ravenclaw came out on top with a grand total of 162 house points, winning their house, pride (and chocolate frogs!)
The next SW Fresher’s camp will be hosted by UOBGaS due to them having the largest proportion of Ravenclaw students- best of luck guys!
